How to Replace Spark Plugs and Coil Packs on 2018-2023 Toyota Camry (2.5L)

today we are going to changed the spark plugs and coil packs on the 2018 to 2023 Toyota Camry with the 2.5 L our first step we'll go ahead and remove this engine cover and it's just held in place by three rubber grommets just grab it I'll lift it up and now looking at our engine see we have our coil packs located right here this is cylinder 1 2 3 and four four each one of these coil packs has a connector and all you're going to do is push down on this tab and pull the connector straight back personally I like to do one cylinder at a time replace the spark plug the coil pack plug it back in and then move to the next one and next we will remove this 8 mm bolt can grab our coil pack and pull it straight up next we'll remove the spark plug with our 14 mm and our extension if you're using a socket like this one this is not a spark plug socket so it doesn't have that rubber piece inside of here to grab onto the spark plug you can just use one of these magnets and reach down in the hole grab your spark plug that way these are Denso spark plugs and here's the number for the plug if you need some of these I'll put a link down in the description all these spark plugs will come preg Gap so you don't have to worry about doing that to reinstall the plug down in this hole I'm going to slide it down with my finger as far as I can you don't want to let this drop down in there because it will mess the Gap up and always start your spark plug by hand never use a impact gun or even a ratchet you want to make sure it's going in nice and straight you don't want to cross thread this and we'll snug it up with our fingers and now I'm going to use my torque wrench and torque these to about 15 foot- PBS if you don't have a torque wrench snug It Up by hand put your ratchet on and go about a quarter of a turn and that should be roughly the same and now you can grab your coil pack and slide that down make sure you put some pressure down so it Clips on top of the spark plug reinstall our 8 mm bolt and I'm just going to Snug this up you don't need to overtighten this and we'll grab our connector push this back on you'll hear a clip when it's in place and now that we're done with our first one you can follow these exact same instructions on your second third and fourth cylinder it's going to be exactly the same for each one and lastly we can reinstall our engine cover those rubber grommets I was talking about go here here and here you can see them on the back side of this cover so all we're going to do get your cover down try to line those up the best you can and just push it back in place and now that completes this how-to video on how to replace your spark plugs and coil packs on this Toyota Camry if this video helped any of you guys out if you could give it a like if you have any questions leave a comment and if you're not subscribed to my channel consider hitting that subscribe button
