how's it going everyone today we're going to be doing a video on how to replace your front pads and rotors on the 2018 to 2024 Toyota Camry so our first step is to remove our caliper so to remove our caliper we're going to have to take out these two 14 mm bolts you're also going to need a 17 mm wrench to put onto these and before we remove this last bolt you're just going to want to have like a string or something to tie your caliper up just so we don't put any pressure on this line by letting it hang and actually your caliper sits pretty nice up on the strut I also tied it off just in case it fell off so now our next step is to remove the caliper bracket and to do this we're going to to remove these two 17 mm bolts and now we can pull our bracket right off can just push down on the brake pad just to get them out of place and remove your old clips now we can remove our rotor this might be stuck on there you could take a rubber mallet just tap around try to break it Loose what I'm going to do is just hit back and forth just clean up around where the rotor sits I like to apply a little antise around here so when you take this apart again the rotor shouldn't be stuck on next we'll grab our new rotor put that in place so next we can install our Clips back into our caliper bracket put one side in and then just push down now looking at the clips you want these on all the same side so they're all on this side if you flip it over same thing and for our pad you'll have these other Clips they clip on the top side of the pad just put it in that Groove and just lock it down make sure you do it to both pads and and that's what it should look like so now just push your rotor back make sure you have one of your 17 mm bolts grab your caliper bracket put that into place and thread your bolt in and do the same to the bottom bolt now grab your torque wrench and torque those two 17 mm bolts down to 79 ft-lbs now grab your outer brake pad make sure this is up top and slide that into place grab your back pad do the same thing and come under your hood open your brake fluid reservoir cover now we have to push the Piston back in to the caliper I always use an old pad and the clamp you can also use a C clamp just squeeze you can see the Piston compressing and that's it just clean around right here there's no debris in between this and the pad grab one of your 14 mm bolts and your caliper and slide it over your pads thread your other bolt in grab your 17 mm wrench and your torque wrench with your 14 and we're going to torque these bolts to 25 [Music] ft-lb if you guys would like to pick up these pads and rotors that I just replaced on my vehicle I will make sure to put the link down in the description now just repeat the same process for the other side of your vehicle and once you're done with both sides just check your fluid level make sure it's at the correct height if you need to remove some just get a little hose take a little bit out and pop your cover back on and yeah that wraps up this video on how to replace your front pads and rotors on the Toyota Camry if this video helped you out if you could give it a thumbs up if you have any questions leave a comment and if you're not subscribed to my channel hit that subscribe button
